Questions people actually ask

How does bring-your-own-AI actually work?

Sign in with your Claude account, paste an API key, or point Motif at your company's AI gateway. Every AI feature runs on it, we add no markup, and the AI Usage page shows your real spend per feature. Note: a few heavy features warn you before a big run, because it's your bill.

What counts as a seat?

A human teammate with a login. Agents aren't seats. Guests, your accountant, your auditor, and anyone touching a public page you've shared aren't seats either.

What happens when we hit an AI cap?

Work pauses and asks. You'll see what was consuming, and you can wait for the monthly reset, trim the workflow responsible, or buy a fixed-price capacity pack. Nothing ever bills automatically.

Is there a trial?

30 days of Complete with AI included, no card. When it ends you pick a tier; your data doesn't get held hostage either way.

Monthly or annual?

The prices shown are annual. Monthly runs about 20% higher, and there's a quieter quarterly option at 10% if annual cash flow is a stretch.

We're two founders about to hire. What happens to our $49?

You move to team pricing for seat three onwards, and your first two seats stay at the founders' rate for 12 months. Hiring should feel like good news here.

Do prices change after we join?

Our published policy: the price you join at is honoured for at least 24 months, and any change is announced well ahead. We've watched other tools ambush their users at renewal; it's not a growth strategy we want.

What if we leave?

Export is deliberately easy: your repo is git, your docs are files, your books export cleanly, your vault exports encrypted or plain (your call, policy-controlled). Lock-in should come from the product being good.

Do you offer startup or accelerator pricing?

Yes; current-cohort founders get Studio free for the programme's duration. Ask us.
