The road ahead

Where Motif is going, honestly framed.

Six quarters of direction. Three rules keep this page honest: nothing below is marketed as shipped until it is, everything inherits the standing invariants (agents propose, humans approve; no fabricated data; no resented meters), and this is a plan, not a promise. What's real today lives on the capability matrix.

Trustworthy GA

Billing and plans go live (flat, capped, caps pause rather than bill). Codebase Rescue opens: import the Lovable, Bolt or v0 project that broke, get a free honest audit, then a governed rebuild on a repo you own. The Motif Companion is born: an always-on, company-scoped agent with long-lived memory, reachable in chat, by email and by SMS, governed like everything else. Universal search everywhere, and the first independent security-review wave clears the build pipeline's standing labels.

H2

Approve from anywhere

The governance loop leaves the desk: a native iPhone app whose whole point is approvals with Face ID from a push, plus a unified needs-you queue with delegation and out-of-office fallbacks. The Companion arrives on WhatsApp, Telegram and voice. Meetings get consented recording and real intelligence; video gets edit-by-transcript and cloud share links.

H3

Agents that do real work

The governed browser agent goes GA behind its security review: real web driving with human-in-the-loop takeover and full session recording. Agent Fetch pulls invoices and attestations from vendor portals on scoped grants. Evals become a customer-facing product, a public developer platform opens, and the Stack Auditor reads your own spend and proposes the cancellations, with the maths shown.

H4

The connected company compounds

Founder-grade finance: investor updates drafted from provenance-linked real data, a fundraise data room, runway what-ifs. Compliance breadth (GDPR, ISO 42001, Essential Eight) on the same no-fabricated-greens engine, plus AI governance for your own product's agents. A churn Keeper that only the connected suite can run honestly. Still never a payment provider; still prepare-only.

H5

Enterprise-lite and everywhere

SSO and SCIM without the punitive SSO tax, custom roles, audit streaming, EU/US data residency, a native desktop shell, Windows device agents, offline-first surfaces, and Forge-hosted CI/CD with preview environments. The 10-to-50-person neighbours can adopt without a security-team veto.

H6

The compounding brain

Bounded autonomy as policy, never drift: owner-defined standing orders with budgets, scopes, expiries and one-click suspension. The company knowledge graph answers "why did churn spike?" with the merge, the incident and the support threads cited. And the annual State of Vibe Debt report publishes what the rescues taught us, anonymised and aggregated.

What we will never build

No payment processing or money movement of any kind. No tax lodgement or payroll. No attestation (Trust prepares; auditors attest). No per-resolution, per-MAU, per-event or credit-metered pricing. No scraping or shadow automation. No covert surveillance; consent gates on recording, always. And no autonomous loop-closing without a standing-order policy object, and never for merges to production, spend, or first-contact outbound.
